As part of our initiative at MHS, we partner with the Southwest Oklahoma Area Health Education Center to provide continuing education programs for health professionals working in underserved communities.

Since 2014, MHS has committed to train residents to become compassionate and competent physicians. We pride ourselves on being progressive and have demonstrated in a short time that we are committed to training physicians to practice anywhere they like.
MHS Residency Accreditations
Our Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine residencies have achieved continued accreditation and osteopathic recognition by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). The OSU Center for Health Sciences is the accredited Sponsoring Institution for both the Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine programs.
We are Memorial Health System of Southwest Oklahoma
Memorial Health System of Southwest Oklahoma is a 263-bed hospital and its inpatient services include obstetrics and gynecology, medical/surgical units, adult and neonatal intensive care units, behavioral health and rehabilitation services.
We are proud to offer the most advanced emergency services in the region at the Drewry Family Emergency Center. MHS EMS Services and Survival Flight are on hand 24/7 and they are dedicated to providing the best acute medical care and transportation to our patients.
The hospital population that we regularly serve includes Lawton and the surrounding communities, the local Native American population, as well as military members and their families, enabling our residents to see a diverse patient population.
