What I enjoy most about our program:
I initially chose Lawton EM because I wanted a procedure-heavy program where I’d care for many sick patients so that I’m ready for whatever I see in the future. I also wanted access to green space and outdoor activities – the wildlife refuge is an easy 20-minute drive away. My favorite part is that the program faculty and attendings are invested in residents as physicians, professionals, and people. Among many other things, they help us learn the medicine, how to approach/think about concepts and procedures, and about litigation and billing as it impacts charting.
